Obsolete parts are defined as no longer being manufactured, either because demand has dropped to below minimum levels and it is not practical to continue to produce it, or because the materials or technologies necessary to produce it are no longer available. Other drivers could also be foreign source competition, or national/international environmental or safety requirements such as RoHS.
Tachus Technologies not only provides second sourcing when a part goes obsolete but we also test and provide qualification services. Whether the component is a sophisticated logic device or a simple 1.25mm pitch connector, we can re-engineer and re-design the part so that it will never go obsolete for you (certain conditions apply; NRE charges apply).
